I think it is an important skill to be known so that life can be saved. So if all clinic or facilities can trained 100% these can go a great deal in saving life to the communities also I think community should be trained on basic things like putting up a sling.

It was an interesting lesson with more information about emergency even at home you can do it and safe people ‘s lives. The course needs active participation. We need to practice this daily. Quaterly in-service for disaster so that we can be familiar with emergency. We need to give Health education to our community daily.

First Aid will be utilised on daily basis in my facility. And it will be practice daily in order to renewing our knowledge and skills and to safe life in our community.

Training fruitful because now added trained first aids in the facility which will help to apply emergency action properly and will assist in giving directions to whoever comes in. In the Community emergency measures will be applied before consulting.

It was a refreshing workshop we have revised in an interesting way. We are going to give back report to our colleagues at our facility and also implement all what we have seen and taught. I think after three months we have to repeat this first aid skills. And now more groups.

It was interesting lesson, and it’s good for every health worker to be exposed to this workshop.

It was an interesting lesson to do that need active participation and enough staff with all the equipment to be used in daily basis where it needed. Competance hence knowledge and skills to be a daily routine by doing quarterly inservice for disaster drill so that we can be familiar in daily basis routine and to give health education to our Community to have knowledge to use even at home.

I gain knowledge and skills of first aid to the conditions that the facilitater teach us in this workshop.

I will use my skills and knowledge that I gain during the workshop of Basic Life Support to my facility and Community.

The workshop was an eye opener to me. I have learned all that I was having questions about. I am going to apply the skill and knowledge back to my facility and community.

It will able to help us on how to handle an emergency. In case there is anyone in our facility and also assit on how to arrange our clinic in an acceptable way to assist even our community.

This is good information for us. We see many people where we need to apply our skills and knowledge. I think many procedures will be done at clinics rather than referring to hospital in case of the minor ones.

My name is Donavan Abrahams and I’m the Manager at Utah Spur Steak Ranch in Cape Town.

I completed my first aid training with EMCARE in October. During the week of the 13th of November we had a customer in the restaurant who fell ill and passed out. I was very scared at first but I started to remember my training and what I learned at EMCARE. I’ve managed to attend to the customer with my knowledge and also called the ambulance where after the patient was taken to the hospital. I just want to thank EMCARE and my facilitator for what he taught me. I will never forget it. I feel because of EMCARE and my training, I have helped someone in need.

I hope you are well, firstly thank you for the warm greeting everymorning and making me feel like I worked at EMCARE :). This has been my third training session through your company, but honestly this has been the only one I have ever enjoyed. Earl was extremely helpful; the training was nothing short of fun yet so well thought through. The information that was handed over for me to learn was well laid out and well presented. Please thank Earl sincerely from me and our company. I was nervous and didn’t think I would make it through the course, but I did. I can confidently now ensure our company is compliant and so much more thanks to Earl. EMCARE has a gem, a trainer that can keep a class focused and not lose interest, yet still deliver and ensure we all understood the material is of great value. I will recommend EMCARE because of Earl. Keep well 🙂 Regards

“During the training fellow students were calling me (Caster Semenya) the reason, I was always number one when coming to running. So becoming a fire fighter is not easy task. It requires hard work, long hours of training, dedication and sincere desire to help others. Being physical fitness is the most basic requirement for every fire fighter. My current occupation is Junior fire fighter at Sefako Makgatho fire station. I just want to thank the best Sir ( Johan) for helping me to become a fire fighter. Thanks for converting my mistakes into a lesson, pressure into productivity and skills into strengths. He really know how to bring the best. He have taught me a lot. Thank you EMCARE n Nirvana Occupational Safety and Rescue.” Current Employment: Sefako Makgatho Fire Station Occupation: Junior fire fighter How much would you rate our school and your experience? 10/10

“Growing up I was passionate about becoming a fire fighter and I was willing to do whatsoever it takes to get there. Everyone at home influenced me not to. But I can tell that I could not resist the calling because it was loud. After finishing my matric I had to take a stance about my life and follow my dreams and passion. Despite the negativity from friends and family I had to put myself first and live for me. Then I registered for fire fighter courses of which it only took me four 4 months to complete. I can tell that this was not time consuming and also a reliable step I have taken. I am happy to be part of what I have always dreamed of at a short period of time. Along the way I have learnt that dreams are not self-provable. Everyone is a dreamer, until one decides to work upon them and make the dream come true. Dedication, hard work and self-belief are the only reason I have achieved all my dreams. Everything is possible as long as you are willing to go the extra mile and pay the full price.” Current Employment: Sefako Makgatho Fire Station Occupation: Junior fire fighter How much would you rate our school and your experience? 10/10

Course overall was awesome, the best moment in his lifetime to have gone to school was when he did his courses with us, how staff handle participants, conducive learning environment. Hendrik; awesome, passion for the profession and make someone understanding, so calculated, easy going. Allows group interaction. Was talking to his friends about us. All colleges will close because of us, and other people agree. Paid for ACLS when he did ITLS without any reserves but it is based on his experience. Doing a very good job, all staff are friendly, even Mamma greets, family environment that makes people feel homely, wishes the courses can go on for time. Training room & equipment; everything is on point, spotless. Catering; he loved it, especially the steak. Given the chance he would love to be with us for two weeks plus. Wade; he is a professional, gave him all the information he needed he was very accommodating. Melissa; can’t find proper words to describe her, she is priceless! We are a recognized institution worldwide a lot of people are talking about us on EMS groups. Will help us join those groups on FB and the like.

It was an honour to read through the client surveys from the First Aid training course done at the Whitehouse for the period 25th to 28th August 2015, every “reactionnaire” (client survey) was marked as excellent on all fields and comments such as “Best facilitator ever”, “10/10” and “keep it up” deserve some sort of recognition. Thus on behalf of the VUP Training department team we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation on a job well done to Werner.

I was privileged to meet one of your EMCARE assistants while on holiday in Mopani rest camp in Kruger National Park on 13 October 2013. I had my 83 year old mother with me. She is frail and also uses waffrin medication after she had a stroke a few years ago. She fell one afternoon while getting out of the car at our bungalow and injured her hand that caused her to bleed a lot...
